It has an excellent transport network that allows you to explore the surroundings. The São Sebastião metro station (red and blue lines) is located in front of the hotel, allowing easy and quick access to all parts of the city.

How to get from the airport to the hotel:

By metro: Take the metro at the AIRPORT station in the direction of SÃO SEBASTIÃO. Exit at this station at the “Av. Duque de Ávila” exit. The hotel is on the other side of the avenue on your right. The metro ride from the airport to the hotel takes about 15 minutes and the metro runs from 6:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Important: Do not throw away your VIVA Card! It is rechargeable and you will need it to enter and exit any metro station. It costs 0.50 euros and can also be used on the city’s trams and buses.

By taxi: The journey takes between 15 and 20 minutes and costs a maximum of 15.00 euros.

By Aerobús/Aeroshuttle to and from the airport: The Aerobús leaves from/to the airport/city centre every 30 minutes and costs approximately 3.60 euros. Tickets can be purchased on board. The journey takes about 30 minutes. The closest stop to the hotel is in Saldanha Square, less than 10 minutes away on foot. There is also the Aeroshuttle which has the same purpose, but we recommend taking the Aerobus which stops closer to the hotel.

How to get to the Hotel Príncipe Lisboa and the city centre

By car from the A1 motorway (Porto/Norte) and the A12 motorway (Vasco da Gama Bridge/Sul):

  • Take the second circular to Campo Grande and exit towards Campo Grande.
  • Go straight to Marquês de Pombal on Av. Da República, passing the Campo Pequeno bullring (on your left) and then the Praça Saldanha.
  • After Praça Saldanha, when you go down Avenida Fontes Pereira de Melo, turn right onto Avenida António Augusto de Aguiar and go straight ahead.
  • When you reach El Corte Inglés, turn right on Avenida Duque de Ávila and you will find us 200 metres further on on your right.

By car on the A2 motorway (Spain/Algarve/South) and the 25 de Abril bridge

  • Take the exit marked Plaza de España.
  • Go up Calouste Gulbenkian Avenue (passing under the aqueduct).
  • When you reach Plaza de España, turn right towards Marqués de Pombal/Centro.
  • Turn right on António Augusto Aguiar Avenue towards Marqués de Pombal/Centro.
  • After passing El Corte Inglés, 100 metres further on, turn around Plaza de España again.
  • When you reach El Corte Inglés, turn right onto Avenida Duque de Ávila and you will find us 200 metres further on on your right.

Near the hotel are the Gulbenkian Foundation Museum and Park, the Eduardo VII Park with its beautiful landscapes of the lower part of the city, the El Corte Inglés department store, Saldanha Square, the Marqués de Pombal, Av. da Liberdade with its internationally renowned brand shops; Av. da República, Praça de Touros do Campo Pequeno, the Amoreiras Shopping Centre and its office towers, the now centenary Lisbon Zoo, the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL) and the Instituto Superior Técnico de Lisboa (IST), among museums and other attractions of interest.
